Mary honored by Annunciation Catholic Academy

Each May Annunciation students bring flowers to place by the beautiful statue of Mary. This statue is located in the middle of the school’s courtyard. Each morning students, teachers and parents pray together around Mary. May is the month dedicated to Mary. Mary is the most holy of all Christian saints. She was born free of original sin. Mary’s birthday is celebrated on September 8. Mary was very devoted to Jesus. She was often with him throughout the Gospel. We all have a mother and with Mary we have a spiritual mother. She guides our spiritual lives and gives us hope. She gave us the gift of Jesus and through him we receive the bread of life at each Mass.
