Annunciation Brownie Troop Participates in Feed and Read Program

Even though there are children going hungry in Central Florida, helping families in need can be as easy as opening one’s front door.  Annunciation Catholic Academy’s 3rd grade Brownie Troop #1364 delivered brown bags in their neighborhoods asking for donations of food and used books. The troop joined “Bags of Hope of Central Florida” to help with the Feed and Read program. This cause helps families in the community that do not have enough to eat as well as feeding the minds of children by giving them books to read.  One of the girls, Jessica from troop #1364, collected 22 bags. These bags will be given to homeless families and to area schools.  According to Jessica, this is a great way for kids to help people in need.  For more information on how to donate books or food contact Bags of Hope at www.bohcfl.com.
