Preserves Social Services
Amendment 8 ensures continued delivery of social services by faith-based organizations, lowering government costs for taxpayers.

Ends Religious Discrimination
Amendment 8 eliminates discrimination against churches and religious institutions that provide social services.

Urge 'yes' vote on November 2012 ballot

Bishops of Florida Strongly Support Amendment 6 to Protect Taxpayers and Support Parental Rights

Prohibits Public Funds for Abortion
Amendment 6 prohibits the use of public funds for abortions or health care coverage that would include abortions.

Strengthens Parental Rights
Amendment 6 would strengthen parental rights by allowing future legislation to require parental consent for children seeking an abortion.

Aligns Abortion Funding Laws
Amendment 6 puts in place the same limits for Florida as current Federal law regarding the use of public funds for abortion.

Following Vatican approval announced by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) on the Feast of the Annunciation, the “Rite for the Blessing of a Child in the Womb” is now ready for use in the dioceses of the United States.

After the Last Harvest: The Lake Apopka Farmworker Memorial Quilt Project

Join the Farmworker Association of Florida on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Orange County Regional History Center (65 East Central Blvd, Orlando) for a  multi-media program, moderated by UCF professor Harry Coverston.

This program serves as background and insight into the history, community, and motivation for the creation of the farmworkers’ quilt, and the community's pride in having embarked upon this meaningful project. 

The presentation is followed by testimonials from members of the community and former farmworkers.  Reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the program.
